Offshore Wind Consultant at Taylor Hopkinson

Lead Electrical Project Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in England.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for managing the electrical engineering scope of the onshore converter station for the offshore wind farm.
  2. Collaborate with a small team of electrical engineers to ensure subcontractors meet the technical and quality requirements for the design of LV, HV components, and SCADA systems.
  3. Coordinate electrical engineering tasks between project participants and suppliers.
  4. Monitor time schedules, progress, and deliverables of contractors and specialists.
  5. Participate in project team meetings and technical discussions.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in electrical engineering with several years of experience in the field.
  2. Extensive experience in technical project management.
  3. Experience with construction and development of onshore substations.
  4. Regular site visits are expected. Additionally, you will oversee the grid connection to the onshore station.
