Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Bradford is seeking a Systems & Controls Production Team Leader to oversee the panel shop, mentor technicians and ensure high standards of quality and efficiency. The role blends line leadership with hands-on electrical assembly and testing as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical panel fabrication, wiring, and testing, with experience reading schematics and managing QA docs.

Qualifications

• Time-served Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• C&G 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) experience or qualification.
• Proven background in electrical control panel assembly, wiring & crimping.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics and engineering drawings fluently.
• Hands-on testing experience: dead/live point-to-point electrical and insulation resistance testing.
• Competent with MS Office / Outlook / Excel for production logging.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and direct the panel shop team to hit output targets.
• Run daily briefings, maintain visual management boards, and support hands-on wiring/assembly when needed.
• Conduct point-to-point electrical testing and verify QA documentation; manage non-conformances.
• Coordinate workflow with Electrical Team Leader; liaise with design engineers to resolve queries/ECNs; manage stock.
• Enforce electrical safety, safe isolation procedures, POWRA, and maintain 5S housekeeping.
