Job summary

Xylem is looking for an Electrical Department Lead Engineer in the United Kingdom. You will supervise a team of 4–6 electrical engineers and designers, translate contract requirements into robust electrical designs, and drive the delivery of equipment specifications for transformers, rectifiers, MCCs, and control panels.

You will review data sheets, conduct supplier evaluations, and contribute to proposals, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 quality practices and applicable industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Electrical Engineering Team.
• Translate customer requirements from contract documentation into technical specifications.
• Define equipment selections and deliverables for water technology products and systems.
• Lead design content and scheduling for the team of 4–6 engineers and designers.
• Support proposals and liaise with clients and suppliers during pre- and post-contract discussions.
