Job summary

Edwards Ltd, part of Atlas Copco Group, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer - A&D to steer a growing team through design to field trials in Bristol. You will lead by example, ensuring clarity in work packages and robust engineering solutions within our regulated environment.

You will mentor engineers, champion best practices, and drive cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with professional registration or chartered status encouraged.
• Extensive practical experience in electrical design, product development and safety compliance.
• Experience in regulated industries such as semiconductor equipment is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated project coordination, governance and team leadership across multiple levels.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills at various organisational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, empower and motivate a growing team of Electrical Engineers from concept to customer trials.
• Own engineering strategy implementation, ensure on-time delivery within budget and to spec.
• Maintain safety and compliance reviews, perform design reviews and HAZOP/ FMEA where needed.
• Mentor engineers, promote best-practice and new technologies across projects.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders including project managers and customers.
