Job summary

WSP is hiring a Principal Engineer to lead Building Services design projects across MEPT disciplines from our Brighton offices, working with a cross-functional team on large-scale projects such as airports and hospitals. You will guide technical delivery, mentor engineers, engage clients, and ensure feasibility and compliance while working in a hybrid environment that supports flexible hours.

This role requires Chartership or progress toward it and a degree in Building Services engineering with

Qualifications

• Engineering Council accredited honours degree in building services or equivalent.
• Degree in Building Services Engineering or applicable discipline.
• Working towards IET Engineer or Chartered Building Services Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead Building Services design projects for your discipline and project team.
• Demonstrate personal input leading to winning or delivering commissions.
• Work with initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects.
• Interpret client needs to meet full delivery requirements.
• Lead MEP discipline design and provide technical advice as PM.
• Supervise detailed designs and review work of others.
• Direct feasibility studies for the project.
• Direct production of detailed specifications for the discipline.
• Brief project team regularly including appointment explanations.
• Review design programmes and ensure adequate resources.
