Job summary
WSP is seeking a Principal Engineer for our Cambridge Building Services team. You will lead projects across mechanical, electrical and public health disciplines, delivering design and technical oversight with minimal supervision.
Based in Cambridge, you will work within a dynamic MEP group and guide others in technical execution. Our team emphasises integrity, inclusion and career development, with hybrid working across UK offices and opportunities to advance Chartership.
Qualifications
- Understanding UK/European regulations applicable to the discipline in project execution.
- UK project experience within Building Services MEP.
- Working knowledge of latest electrical design software to allocate/direction of work.
- Experience with Revit MEP or other 3D design software for project work.
- Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team delivering design and technical advice.
- Supervise detailed designs and oversee others in the function.
- Direct feasibility studies and production of detailed technical specifications.
- Review design programmes and ensure adequate resources for delivery.
