Job summary

Gold Group is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer for Plymouth with a hybrid work pattern (2+ days on-site). The role supports a major dockyard facility, serving as the technical interface with the customer and leading the electrical discipline across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred but not mandatory for consideration.
• Experience in highly regulated industries is required.
• Proven track record in scoping, designing and modifying electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with the customer and Technical Authority to understand requirements and provide electrical engineering support.
• Lead the Electrical Discipline, ensuring high quality delivery and developing capabilities for the customer.
• Scope, design and propose modifications to assets or facilities across the full lifecycle from concept to maintenance.
• Assess and approve technical documentation ensuring safety, regulatory and technical compliance.
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to align electrical designs with broader projects.
• Support installation, commissioning and testing phases as needed.
• Provide input to project documentation, risk assessments and progress reporting.
