This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled electrical engineering professional to contribute to the design, review, and delivery of complex power systems on a significant programme of work. The role is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the potential for extension and is primarily site-based, with occasional flexibility to work from home a few days each month.
As the Electrical Engineering Lead, you will provide technical leadership across electrical power systems, supporting the development, review, and implementation of engineering solutions that meet project, regulatory, and industry standards. You will oversee contractor engineering activities, guide design development, review protection schemes, and ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of electrical systems. Responsibilities include power system design and analysis, electrical protection strategies, equipment selection, engineering standards development, risk management, and technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful Electrical Engineering Lead will bring extensive experience within large-scale industrial, refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, or energy projects. You will possess a strong understanding of electrical power generation, distribution, protection systems, hazardous area equipment, system modelling, and international engineering standards. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential.
