Job summary
Genesis Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in the West Midlands, UK to lead the design, development and delivery of electrical systems for locomotives and related equipment. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in locomotives, rail, or heavy industrial equipment.
- Proven expertise in design, integration and testing of complex electrical systems.
- Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring staff.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and power distribution.
Responsibilities
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments and change control throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control system layouts.
- Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams for integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
