Job summary

Technical Moves Ltd in Oxford seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on major Building Services projects in Oxford. You will manage client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers while delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

You will play a key role from feasibility to construction, ensuring technical excellence and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Membership of CIBSE, IET, or a comparable professional body.
• Proven experience delivering electrical building services projects within a consultancy environment.
• Previous experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance, industry standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Experience using industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, and technical delivery to ensure successful outcomes.
• Produce and review technical specifications, calculations, reports, and design documentation.
• Oversee tender reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and project monitoring throughout construction phases.
• Support and mentor junior engineers, helping to develop technical capability and professional growth.
• Contribute to resource planning and team development.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support future business growth.
