Job summary

Technical Moves Ltd in Oxford seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on major Building Services projects in Oxford. You will manage client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers while delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

You will play a key role from feasibility to construction, ensuring technical excellence and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Membership of CIBSE, IET, or a comparable professional body.
• Proven experience delivering electrical building services projects within a consultancy environment.
• Previous experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance, industry standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Experience using industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.

• Manage project programmes, budgets, and technical delivery to ensure successful outcomes.

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take ownership of major projects while developing the next generation of engineering talent?

Our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their established Building Services team in Oxford. This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, lead client relationships, and play a key role in the delivery of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Working within a collaborative and highly respected engineering team, you will be trusted to lead projects from initial concept through to completion, providing technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading electrical design from feasibility and concept stages through to detailed design and construction.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
