RGB in Cambridge is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical building services projects across a varied portfolio, including offices, education, healthcare and life sciences. You will manage key client relationships, mentor engineers and help grow the Building Services team, with hybrid and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree and building services electrical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Experience managing client relationships and project teams.
• Mentoring or line management experience is desirable.
• Chartered Engineer status or clearly defined path toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on complex building services projects.
• Act as main client contact and develop long-term relationships.
• Lead design meetings, workshops and project reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance across teams.
• Manage resources, project delivery and financial performance.
• Support fee proposals, bids and business development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Mentor graduate, intermediate and senior engineers.
• Support chartership development and professional growth.
• Assist recruitment and expansion of the Cambridge office.
