Job summary

Advance TRS in Birmingham is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical building services design across commercial, residential, and landmark projects. You will own technical tasks, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated, high‑quality solutions that meet demanding client expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or HNC) accredited by CIBSE/ IET/ IMechE.
• Experience in electrical building services design with a strong project portfolio.
• Working towards or holding IEng or CEng status.
• Autonomy to own technical tasks and deliverables.
• Excellent communication with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering on MEP projects; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Work independently on technical tasks and review junior engineers' work.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to guide projects.
• Manage project timelines and ensure quality and deadlines.
• If PM, coordinate tasks, resources, and project execution.
• Stay up to date with digital and parametric design trends.
