Job summary

PRS in Rochester, Kent is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical building services designs for commercial and residential projects, from concept to completion. You will use AutoCAD, Revit and Amtech/Trimble, manage client relationships and ensure compliance with British Standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards and building regulations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and electrical design software such as Amtech/Trimble.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical building services systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms and emergency lighting.
• Produce detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical drawings.
• Manage projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
• Attend design meetings and site visits when required.
