Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer to join the Energy Networks (ETO) team. You will design and deliver building services for energy infrastructure projects, lead multidisciplinary collaborations, and mentor junior staff.

The role supports energy transition and requires chartership progress or strong professional standing. The role offers a hybrid working model, with opportunities across the UK and internationally, and exposure to substations, converter

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with a recognised institution.
• Experience delivering building services design in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building services designs for energy infrastructure and industrial facilities.
• Produce detailed design calculations and technical documentation.
• Develop drawings covering HVAC, electrical building services, water services.
• Collaborate with protection, civil, structural and other teams.
• Support sustainable, energy-efficient and resilient designs.
• Assist in bids, proposals, and fee estimates.
• Manage project deliverables to quality, budget and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and CDM regulations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates.
