Job summary

Mott MacDonald, a global engineering and management consultancy, is seeking an Electrical Building Services Engineer to design and deliver cost-effective, sustainable electrical solutions for the Built Environment. You will work in cross-disciplinary teams across sectors including Energy, Healthcare, Education, and Rail, contributing to smart infrastructure and carbon reduction.

The role requires hands-on design, mentoring junior staff, and regular office presence with a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years post graduate experience in building services engineering.
• Degree qualified or similar apprenticeship with relevant experience and working toward chartership.
• Experience on building services and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Ability to lead electrical elements of large or smaller projects.
• Excellent organisation and workload management.
• Ability to liaise with clients and project teams with clear reporting.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all aspects of assigned project work.
• Produce electrical design solutions using cable, lighting, and calculation software as a minimum.
• Work with AutoCAD and Revit in 2D/3D to deliver coordinated drawings.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver projects.
• Provide consultative service to clients and maintain first-class service.
