Job summary

Shooting Stars Kings Norton is seeking an experienced Early Years Room Leader to lead a nursery room, support and develop colleagues, and drive high standards of care and education in line with the EYFS. You will play a key role in safeguarding, planning learning opportunities and building strong relationships with children and families.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) all year round, with a competitive hourly rate of 15.30 and a salary of 31,824 per annum, plus funded training, career

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience in nursery/early years setting.
• Experience as Room Leader, Team Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and child development.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Proactive approach to supporting colleagues and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of your designated nursery room.
• Create a safe, stimulating environment for children.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of practitioners and students.
• Act as Key Person and build relationships with children and families.
• Plan and oversee engaging learning opportunities in line with EYFS.
• Monitor development and support individual learning journeys.
• Promote inclusive practice and support children with additional needs.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety standards.
