Job summary

The Orchards Nursery School, part of The Orchards Federation, seeks a Level 6 Early Years Educator to lead the 2-year-old room. 37 hours per week, permanent contract, days to be worked term-time plus inset days. The role focuses on high-quality care within an EYFS framework and strong team leadership.

Experience with 2-year-olds and a solid EYFS understanding are essential, along with safeguarding commitments and collaborative partnerships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 6 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Has substantial (at least 2 years) experience with 2-year-olds.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day organisation of the 2-year-old room.
• Provide outstanding care, education and learning opportunities.
• Model high-quality interactions and teaching with children.
• Support staff to develop practice and understanding of individual needs.
• Plan a language-rich learning environment and monitor progress.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety in line with EYFS.
