Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries Limited is seeking an energetic Early Years Deputy Supervisor for our Croxley Green setting. You will lead a toddler room, drive the EYFS curriculum and support staff development, ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding for children.

You will collaborate with management to foster professional growth, communicate with families about progress, and promote readiness for school within a safe, stimulating environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EY qualification (preferably Level 6) with a full and relevant Early Years Education or Childcare qualification.
• Drive to make a difference in early years practice; experience supporting team progress.
• Proven experience leading a nursery room environment with strong understanding of working with children.
• Track record of upholding policies, safeguarding and health & safety in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a well-established team in delivering high-quality care and education whilst managing your own key group of children.
• Promote school readiness and ensure your room team provide quality, safe and stimulating environments.
• Support the effective running of the nursery through efficient organisation.
• Lead by example, providing guidance, support and mentorship to team members.
• Collaborate with management to provide professional development opportunities for your team.
• Communicate effectively with families and keep them informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing.
