Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries Limited is seeking an energetic Early Years Deputy Supervisor for our Boys & Girls Nursery in Croxley Green, near Watford. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and an engaging EYFS curriculum, while focusing on school readiness and safeguarding.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with management on professional development, and maintain strong, ongoing communication with families about each child’s progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS qualification with full Early Years education/childcare background.
• Experience leading a nursery room and supporting team development.
• Strong safeguarding, wellbeing, and health & safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead a well-established team to deliver high-quality care and education for a key group of children.
• Promote school readiness and ensure safe, stimulating environments.
• Support nursery operations and offer mentorship to team members.
• Provide development opportunities through collaboration with management.
• Communicate with families about children’s progress and wellbeing.
