Job summary

The National Crime Agency is seeking a Senior Technical Officer - Drone to lead the unmanned vehicle programme within Technical Operations. You will pilot a range of drones, manage flight planning, and develop capabilities in collaboration with UK partners.

You will work with Civil Aviation Authority and international partners to ensure compliant, innovative drone operations while contributing to law enforcement objectives and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Advanced drone flying on multiple airframes.
• Experience in developing, modifying or repairing a drone airframe.
• Experience in developing the flying capabilities of others.
• GVC certificate required; additional licences beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Technical Operations unmanned vehicle programme and act as Flying Officer for the drone cadre.
• Engage with Civil Aviation Authority and Maritime Agency.
• Develop unmanned vehicle capability and associated policies and standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and developers and support research activities.
