Job summary

Matchtech Group seeks a Senior Remote Pilot to join the flight operations team. You will be the lead pilot on complex missions across the UK, supervise crews and mentor junior pilots.

The role supports development of standards and procedures for autonomous drone operations across challenging projects. Essential skills include extensive commercial drone operations experience, strong risk management, mission planning, and the ability to configure geofences, flight controllers, and autonomous

Qualifications

• Significant commercial drone operations experience.
• Experience leading field teams and managing deployed operations.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety and risk management.
• Experience producing risk assessments, SOPs and mission plans.
• Experience conducting autonomous flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead drone operations as Remote Pilot on complex missions across the UK.
• Supervise deployed crews and mentor less experienced pilots.
• Support development of operational standards and procedures.
• Coordinate BVLOS, visual mitigation, LiDAR and inspection missions.
• Review flight logs and investigate issues to improve performance.
