Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is hiring a Lead Project Engineer for our Ampthill, Bedfordshire team. The role focuses on bridging traditional engineering management with Digital Engineering, ensuring MBSE models, Digital Twin data, and physical assets stay in sync as a single source of truth across the lifecycle.

The position requires on-site presence Mondays and Tuesdays, with the rest of the week working in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Proven experience in a complex engineering setting, preferably defence.
• Strong MBSE knowledge and experience with digital environments.

Responsibilities

• Digital Governance: lead governance of tools within a Digital Engineering environment.
• Digital Thread Orchestration: establish and maintain the Digital Thread across requirements, design, manufacturing and sustainment.
• Model-Based Change Control: manage changes and impact analysis on MBSE models and Digital Twin simulations.
• Data Integrity & Auditing: audit conformance to digital architecture ensuring 'as-designed', 'as-built', and 'as-maintained' states.
• Lifecycle Integration: automate and integrate configuration status accounting in the digital ecosystem.
• Process Innovation: drive development and improvement of processes for Digital Twin environments and data integration platforms.
• Learning and applying new technologies related to Digital Thread and MBSE tools.
