Job summary
Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Lead Digital Engineer to own and drive a core manufacturing software platform supporting major infrastructure programmes. You will work across engineering, manufacturing, product development and software delivery teams to align digital tools with operational needs and end-user adoption.
Based initially in Dartford with a transition to Sizewell, the role focuses on developing software for automated manufacturing in the construction sector, including training and change
Qualifications
- Recent experience in reinforcement delivery or engineering.
- Experience with digital engineering or manufacturing software delivery.
- Ability to gather and translate requirements across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience delivering training for technical or operational users.
- Knowledge of software testing, bug management or simulation-based validation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of a core manufacturing software platform from requirements through deployment.
- Translate operational needs into prioritised software specifications.
- Lead software testing, bug management and release readiness activities.
- Develop and deliver training, user guides and competency frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Manufacturing teams to align software capability with operational requirements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, risks and programme-wide decision making.
