Job summary

Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland is seeking a Digital DevOps & Release Manager to lead a four-person DevOps team, including offshore members, and to own the DevOps/CI-CD design, ensuring scalable, secure delivery of software across platforms.

The role requires strong GitHub/CI-CD expertise, scripting with Bash/Python/YAML, cloud tech experience, and a background in Agile environments to improve release processes and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering (nice to have).
• Previous experience as a DevOps Manager/Lead with team development responsibilities.
• Strong experience with GitHub and CI/CD; understanding of CI, CD and automated testing.
• Proficiency in scripting and configuration, Bash/Python/YAML; cloud technologies experience.
• Experience in Agile environments, supporting developers to improve build, test and release.
• Degree-level qualification in Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of four DevOps Engineers, including offshore team members.
• Own the design and evolution of the DevOps/CI-CD environment for scalable, secure delivery.
• Coordinate releases across multiple teams and ensure proper approvals before production.
• Collaborate with developers, test managers, IT Ops and project teams on GitHub and deployment processes.
• Help improve release processes, governance, automation and deployment standards across platforms.
