Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead automation, CI/CD and platform engineering across secure, highly controlled environments. The role requires coordinating with Platform, Security, and Delivery teams to deliver automated, secure deployments.

You will mentor engineers, drive DevSecOps adoption, and guide project work packages from planning to delivery in a regulated defence/government context.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps and automation experience in secure, regulated environments.
• Experience leading automation across engineering teams.
• Ability to mentor engineers and liaise with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain IaC and platform automation.
• Ensure secure deployment pipelines for highly controlled environments.
• Collaborate with Platform, Security and Delivery teams to automate infrastructure and applications.
