Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer in London on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on running IT production services, supporting the software life cycle, and owning key applications such as Clipper, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Kofax, SharePoint, and FOS Messaging.

You will manage change pipelines, design and build back-end support, maximize uptime, and mentor your team. A strong DevOps mindset and cloud/on-prem experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in development and operations using Microsoft tools.
• Proficiency in C# and PowerShell.
• Experience building CC and CD using tools such as Visual Studio Team System, TeamCity and Octopus.
• Strong testing knowledge and approaches (unit/integration/functional).
• Experience in Agile teams with Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of SQL Server is desirable.
• Ability to deploy and support .NET applications.
• Knowledge of web hosting, load balancing, and networking.
• Some knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is desirable.
• Attention to detail, planning, and strong communication skills.
• Experience in IT teams supporting virtualised on-prem environments is desirable.
• Experience with Azure and other cloud platforms and XaaS integrations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deploy a variety of IT solutions and automate processes.
• Balance risk when deploying changes and decide on best course of action for technical problems.
• Conduct technical troubleshooting across systems and technologies.
• Grow the team's capability through new practices and coaching.
• Ensure smooth operation of applications across servers and environments.
• Escalate issues to relevant colleagues and communicate solutions.
• Update release managers and stakeholders on progress.
• Update service desk and knowledgebase with solutions.
