Job summary

Areti Group | B Corp™ is seeking a Scala Lead Developer for a public sector programme. The role is remote with a requirement to be in Newcastle about 2 days per month. You will provide hands-on technical leadership and design full-stack solutions across front-end and back-end layers.

Lead the design and implementation of Scala-based solutions, mentor developers, and drive architectural decisions. You will build microservices with Play Framework and collaborate with DevOps, QA, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong Scala and functional programming experience.
• Proven lead developer / technical leadership experience.
• Experience influencing architectural decisions.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern tooling.
• MacOS or Linux experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
