Job summary

Scott Logic is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to work hands-on in a client-facing capacity, delivering solutions across the full development life cycle. You will join small, multidisciplinary teams to solve complex software problems and mentor colleagues while advising clients on technical direction.

We value technologists who are pragmatic, open to new ideas, and capable of designing well-structured, maintainable systems using the right tools and languages for the job.

Qualifications

• Good experience in at least one of Python, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript or TypeScript.

Lead Software Engineer

We work with some of the UK’s biggest companies and government departments to provide a pragmatic approach to technology, delivering bespoke software solutions and expert advice.

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role, offering the opportunity to be involved in the full development life cycle. You’ll typically work in small, tight‑knit multidisciplinary teams, solving tough software problems. You’ll have the opportunity to further develop your career mentoring colleagues, advising our clients, and taking ownership of significant pieces of work.

We’re looking for passionate, proactive technologists. We are technology agnostic and use the right language, tooling and frameworks for the job. That means we’re open‑minded when it comes to your existing skillset, but we value the following:
