Job description

We're looking for a Lead Designer to join our project team based in the London Region.

Location: Based out of our London offices, with travel to London sites.

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

What will you be responsible for?

As a Lead Designer, you'll work with the Senior Digital Construction Manager and Building Services Leads to ensure full coordination of the design delivery process and internal responsibilities across all disciplines.

Your Day To Day Will Include

• Providing technical leadership for the assigned Function (Healthcare/Public/Residential/Commercial). Ensuring best practices are applied throughout Pre-Con, Design, Delivery, and Aftercare stages.
• Establishing the Function as a centre of excellence through training, CDP, and staff development plans. Ensuring all projects have Fire, Quality, and Design start-up meetings, with full interrogation of the design and delivery process to identify risks and opportunities.
• Reporting to the Technical Assurance Director and collaborating with Sector and Region Leads to manage design quality across projects.
• Line managing SDM/DM/ADMs, acting as a mentor and career manager for your team and other Function Leads.
• Liaising with the Technical Assurance Director and visiting site teams regularly to review design performance and ensure obligations are met.

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you have:

• Experience conducting site audits
• Experience performing VLT reviews of projects
• Proven experience in a design role within a main contractor environment
• Experience with BIM Level 2 projects, including COBie data and LoDM
• A Full UK Driving License
