Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Design Quality group, reporting to the Head of Engineering Operations. You will own design processes from concept to embedded practice, map workflows, and drive governance across Vehicle Engineering and related functions.

You will manage a team of engineers, coach performance, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Parts, Logistics, and the Race Team to deliver consistent, auditable processes that scale with evolving demands.

Qualifications

• Experience in owning and developing engineering processes, not just following them.
• Strong technical credibility in design quality and governance.
• Proven ability to manage significant projects and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality, productivity and delivery of your group’s work with defined objectives.
• Deliver new tools and processes for the Design Office and wider organisation.
• Lead ongoing process mapping and maintain process integrity.
