Job summary

Williams F1 Racing Team is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for the Chassis, Bodywork and Wings (CBW) team. You will own complete engineering projects from concept to detailed design, supporting R&D and production through build, test, and fault-resolution phases.

You’ll lead fault investigations, mentor students, and drive continuous improvement across the design team. We value strong technical ability, proactive attitude, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Marine or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Proven technical expertise to lead and own significant engineering projects.
• Senior role with leadership expectations and project ownership.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual and detailed designs for vehicle components and structures.
• Lead fault investigations and implement robust fixes.
• Mentor student placements and support knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (aerodynamics, electronics, R&D, production).
• Provide clear technical procedures and system specifications.
• Sign-off with stress engineering and drawing/assembly checks.
