Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is partnering with a Cambridge-based engineering firm to recruit a Design Engineer with SolidWorks or sheet metal expertise. You will lead the design team while remaining hands-on with SolidWorks, producing sheet metal fabrications for large data centre installations across Europe.

The role requires traveling across the UK and Europe up to 3 times per month, holding a full UK driving license, and commuting to Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Design Engineer with SolidWorks or sheet metal background.
• Ready to lead a design team and manage projects.
• Willing to travel UK/Europe up to 3 times a month.
• Commutable to Cambridge and hold a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Using SolidWorks to produce sheet metal fabrications for data centre projects.
• Leading the design team, assigning projects and ensuring completion of work.
• Travel across the UK and Europe up to 3 times a month with paid stays.
• Operate in a Hybrid work environment.
