Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd in Surrey is recruiting a Lead HV Design Engineer to join a large independent multi-utility business. You will lead engineers and review and design complex HV networks up to 132kV, influencing projects across electricity, gas, water, heat and EV infrastructure.

The role is hybrid with 2–3 days in the office, offering a clear progression path and the opportunity to make a real impact within a lean design team, with structured progression and competitive benefits including

Qualifications

• Lead HV design experience and ability to design HV networks up to 132kV.
• Experience with DNO/IDNO/ICP or utility consultancy backgrounds preferred.
• Exposure to WinDebut, IPSA, VisNet or similar.

Responsibilities

• Influence design decisions within a lean team.

Surrey | Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

up to £80,000 + bonus

We’re hiring a Lead HV Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s largest independent multi-utility businesses.

With 1.1m+ adopted utility connections, 26 years of trading, 2026 NAV of the Year recognition and continued growth across electricity, gas, water, heat and EV infrastructure, this is a business with real momentum in the UK utilities market.

You’ll join a lean design team with genuine influence, leading engineers and reviewing and designing complex HV networks up to 132kV.
