Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd is seeking a Lead HV Design Engineer to head design activities for HV networks up to 132 kV. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on review and design work within a lean team.

The position offers hybrid work (2–3 days in the office) and growth opportunities in a major UK multi-utility business with a strong project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineers in HV design projects.
• HV design experience up to 132 kV.
• Background with DNO/IDNO or utility consultancy is preferred.

Lead HV Design Engineer | Grid Connections

Surrey | Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

up to £80,000 + bonus

We’re hiring a Lead HV Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s largest independent multi-utility businesses.

With 1.1m+ adopted utility connections, 26 years of trading, 2026 NAV of the Year recognition and continued growth across electricity, gas, water, heat and EV infrastructure, this is a business with real momentum in the UK utilities market.

You’ll join a lean design team with genuine influence, leading engineers and reviewing and designing complex HV networks up to 132kV.
