Job summary

New Look is seeking a passionate Denim Designer to join our team for a predominantly in-office role. You will drive denim trends, partner with Buying and Merchandising, and own key seasonal blocks to deliver a cohesive, market-ready range.

The ideal candidate has denim design experience with a major retailer, strong Photoshop/Illustrator skills, and a sharp eye for trend forecasting and product execution.

Qualifications

• Previous Denim Designer experience with major retailer or established supplier.
• PC/Mac literate with Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent spec skills with hand sketching, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Identify department key items at season start and align with customer profiles.
• Own key item blocks and drive trends commercially for the New Look range.
• Lead design initiatives with the Head of Design and influence buying decisions.
• Create mood boards, trend presentations and catwalk reports for Buyers.
• Collaborate with Buying/Merchandising/QA to deliver the range on time.
• Monitor competitor activity and develop products to gain share.
