Job summary

Jet2 is seeking a Lead Data Scientist in Leeds to lead a team delivering data science solutions that drive commercial value. You will work with stakeholders to identify opportunities, apply machine learning and analytics, and take projects from concept to production.

You will lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing team, plan Agile data science initiatives, and collaborate across Jet2.com and Jet2holidays to maximise value while staying ahead of new tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering data science projects in a commercial environment.
• Ability to lead and mentor a high‑performing data science team.
• Strong communication to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Data Scientists and guide career growth.
• Plan and deliver data science initiatives using Agile methodologies.
• Develop, deploy and monitor predictive models in production.
• Communicate analytic findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Improve data governance and data quality across the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays teams to maximise value from analytics.
• Stay current with emerging data science tools and practices.
