Job summary

Informed Solutions Edinburgh is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive end-to-end design and implementation of data science applications for diverse clients, promoting best practices and a positive culture for growth.

You will lead a team of problem solvers, collaborate across disciplines and help deliver digital transformation projects, advancing the data science discipline within a Great Place to Work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based data science solutions.
• Proficient in Python or R for data science.
• Experience leading data science projects.
• Background in Agile delivery environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, development, integration and testing of complex, high quality data science solutions.
• Own the end-to-end implementation and design for larger data science services with high-quality documentation.
• Take overall technical responsibility for data science in larger engagements across all stages.
• Collaborate with practitioners from other disciplines to meet user and business needs.
• Help structure and provide technical assurance for teams and junior practitioners.
• Support growth by helping recruit technical staff and contributing to training materials.
