Job summary

Capital One is looking for a Lead Data Platform Engineer to own resilience, scalability and security of our core financial data ecosystem in a regulated cloud environment. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on building automated, self-healing data platforms for high-throughput batch and real-time workloads.

You’ll lead architecture, implement secure data movement, and mentor onsite/offshore teams while optimizing performance and cost in AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong programming and scripting abilities in Python and Shell are essential.
• Experience with data platform engineering in regulated/cloud environments preferred.
• Ability to design, build and run high-throughput data pipelines with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and deployment of high-performance data movement solutions.
• Act as technical lead for incident resolution impacting data pipelines.
• Ensure data security and governance across the data lifecycle.
