Lead Data Platform Engineer – GCP

£95,000 per annum

London (Hybrid)

La Fosse have partnered with a very well-established brand who are looking to hire a hands-on Lead Data Engineer to join an industry-leading team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a forward-thinking data environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading a small team of engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Taking ownership of the health and stability of a widely used data platform.
• Managing and improving a heavy Airflow estate within a GCP-based environment.
• Ensuring robust engineering practices and continuous platform improvement.

Tech Stack:

• GCP and Airflow, (essential)
• dbt, Terraform, Kubernetes (nice to have)
• Exposure to ChatGPT and AI innovation (a bonus)

Who You Are:

• A self-starter with excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.
• Experienced in line management, team leadership, and technical mentoring.
• Confident working in a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.
