Job summary

Capgemini in the UK is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to shape and grow our data capability from the Hove office. You will lead Hove-based teams, drive engineering outcomes, and partner with clients to deliver modern data solutions across cloud platforms and legacy environments.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and grow the capability with a focus on delivery excellence, governance, and client satisfaction within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading data engineering teams on complex programs.
Proven ability to govern delivery, design reviews, and engineering standards.
Strong SQL, data modelling and cloud-based data platforms.
Experience with AWS and modern data tooling.

Responsibilities

Lead Hove-based data engineering teams and guide solution direction and standards.
Own local delivery assurance, governance, and design reviews for engineering outcomes.
Grow the Hove capability through recruitment, mentorship and onboarding.
Shape modernization across legacy and cloud-based data platforms.
Build trusted client and stakeholder relationships and drive data-driven growth.
