Job summary

Hitachi Solutions Europe is expanding its Data, Analytics & AI practice in the UK and seeks experienced Lead Data Consultants to join the team and deliver cutting-edge data and analytics solutions for major UK clients.

You will design architectures, lead delivery, mentor junior staff, and work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI and data engineering best practices, while ensuring security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering cloud-based Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI solutions.
• Extensive client-facing experience, leading teams or projects.
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like Azure Data Factory and platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Expertise in data visualisation using Power BI, QlikView or Tableau.
• Strong data modelling and ETL/ELT design and data warehousing knowledge.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Science and AI technologies, including ML and Generative AI.
• Leadership within Data Engineering and AI, advising clients and teams.
• Excellent communication and client management skills; leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advisory services on analytics and data engineering best practices.
• Lead teams and projects from requirements gathering to design and implementation.
• Capture client requirements and lead architecture development for scalable solutions.
• Design and develop Data Platform, BI and Advanced Analytics solutions leveraging cloud tech.
• Lead design and implementation of data engineering on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks.
• Build dashboards using Power BI to deliver clear insights.
• Guide data modelling and ETL/ELT processes and data warehouses.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
