Pulsant is recruiting a Senior Data Centre Services Engineer to support Newcastle data centres, acting as deputy to the Data Centre Manager and mentoring the team. The role covers 37.5 hours per week, with on-call duties (1 week in 4) and shift patterns from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

You will ensure secure, compliant operation of critical infrastructure, while coordinating with contractors and internal teams to deliver reliable client solutions.

Qualifications

• Background in IT or engineering in a commercial setting.
• Hands-on experience installing, tracing, or managing cables.
• Problem-solving and fault-finding with a logical diagnostic approach.
• Exposure to networking equipment such as routers and switches is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Support the Data Centre Manager with day-to-day operations of critical infrastructure.
• Lead incident resolution with relevant teams and communicate status clearly.
• Collaborate with project teams to plan activities and handover client solutions.
• Mentor Data Centre Service Engineers to deliver high-quality service.
