Job summary

Careerwise in London seeks a Data Architect (Head of Data Architecture) to define and deliver an enterprise data architecture strategy around a Microsoft Fabric data platform. You will lead architecture, governance, and the build of data products, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams.

The role combines strategic enterprise data architecture responsibilities with hands-on delivery, ensuring scalable, secure, and governed data solutions across BI, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Data Architecture and Enterprise Data Architecture.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform ecosystem.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across business and technical functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of the Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to design scalable ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption patterns.
• Define standards and architectural patterns for Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Analytics, Semantic Models, and Data Engineering workloads.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, performant, and aligned with business requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural assurance throughout delivery initiatives.
• Support design reviews and governance processes to ensure consistency across data solutions.
• Demonstrate strategic and enterprise-thinking mindset with strong architectural problem-solving.
