Hippo Digital Limited in Manchester is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to act as a technical SME, lead data delivery, and mentor a team of analysts. You will work with senior stakeholders to translate needs into robust analytics plans and data architecture.

The role emphasizes advanced analytics (ML, predictive modelling), data governance, and delivering value for public and private sector clients. This is a Lead level role with a clear progression path in a hybrid, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading data delivery for complex projects.
• Ability to design data models and visualisations for large organisations.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
• Mastery of SQL and advanced proficiency in Python or R for data science.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical SME within the squad to ensure user-centred data solutions are developed following best practice.
• Lead engagement with senior stakeholders to understand organisational needs and translate them into strategic analysis plans.
• Oversee the workload of the delivery team and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Identify advanced analytics opportunities (ML, predictive modelling) to drive client value.
• Oversee robust data cleaning and management standards across the team.
• Recruit, onboard, and line-manage analysts, supporting their development through coaching.
