Job summary

Defence Science and Technology Laboratory is seeking a Principal Cyber DSP and Embedded Engineer to lead advanced DSP, embedded software and FPGA‑based solutions across national cyber programmes. You will act as a recognised technical authority, guiding technical decisions and roadmaps while partnering with customers and delivery teams.

You will mentor engineers, champion engineering excellence, and drive innovative solutions that align with operational needs and national security priorities.

Qualifications

• Significant expertise in at least two of the listed areas (DSP, embedded, C/C++, FPGA, integration).
• Experience delivering DSP and embedded solutions within complex engineering environments.
• Leadership in technical delivery and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of DSP, embedded software and FPGA‑based solutions across cyber programmes.
• Act as technical authority advising projects, teams and stakeholders.
• Shape strategies, roadmaps and capability plans to align with customer needs.
• Drive innovation across software and hardware domains and influence architectures.
• Mentor engineers to develop technical leaders and promote best practices.
