Job summary

European Tech Recruit are partnering with a leading semiconductor company in Cambridge to hire a CPU Design Verification Engineer. You will collaborate with chip architects to validate CPU and SOC micro-architectures, and you will develop testbenches, verification environments, and DV plans to ensure launch readiness.

You will lead a small team of verification engineers, drive scalable verification methodologies, and report DV progress with metrics and coverage.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of micro-processor verification functions and architectures.
• Experience leading a small verification team and writing portable testbenches.
• Familiar with RIS and verification across block to chip levels.

Responsibilities

• Work with CPU and SOC Architects to understand concepts and requirements.
• Develop detailed test and coverage plans based on architecture and micro-architecture.
• Develop verification methodology for scalability and portability across environments.
• Develop verification environments including stimuli, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage.
• Develop verification plans and testbenches for the functional domain.
• Execute verification plans including bring-up, regressions, debugging, and feature verification.
• Track and report DV progress using bugs and coverage metrics.
