Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a driven Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for our London team. This hands-on, client-facing role offers ownership from feasibility through to completion on high-profile projects in construction, real estate and infrastructure.

You’ll lead cost plans, budgets and reporting, advise clients, administer contracts, and mentor junior staff as part of a growing, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or similar.
• MRICS (or working towards) preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in cost management or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management on your own projects.
• Advise clients and influence key decisions.
• Administer contracts (JCT/NEC) and oversee commercial delivery.
• Lead risk and value management processes.
• Support procurement, tendering, and contractor selection.
• Contribute to business development and bids.
• Mentor junior team members and grow the team.
