Job summary

Cleo is seeking a Lead Conversational Designer to shape multi-agent chat experiences in the Financial Assistant pillar. You will collaborate with ML engineers, product designers and PMs to craft coherent agent dialogs and scalable frameworks.

You will lead design across squads, design conversation flows, help prompt engineer LLMs, and align projects with Cleo's OKRs while keeping a user-centered focus on money management.

Qualifications

• Background in HCI, content design, linguistics, psychology or related field.
• 1–2+ years in conversation design for LLM-based products.
• Experience designing for multi-agent, AI-powered systems.
• Strong writing skills with ability to adapt voices and styles.
• Able to collaborate across design, engineering, product and data science.

Responsibilities

• Design conversation systems and architectures for multi-agent chat experiences.
• Define persona strategy across agents and align with business OKRs.
• Collaborate with UX, ML and backend teams on framework and GUI components.
• Prompt engineer LLMs to match design intent and content style.
• Analyze systems to maximize design influence and user experience.
