Job summary

Cleo is seeking a Lead Conversational Designer to shape the Financial Assistant pillar and its multi-agent chat experiences. You will work with engineers, PMs and designers to embed conversation design principles across the system and help define personas and frameworks.

We’re looking for a fluent writer with UX sensibilities, 1–2+ years in conversation design, and a passion for user‑centered products. You’ll thrive in a fast, transparent culture that values clarity and impact.

Qualifications

• Background in HCI, content design, linguistics, psychology or related field.
• 1–2+ years in conversation design with LLM-based products.
• Experience designing conversation systems for multi-agent products.
• Strong writing skills and ability to adapt voice and tone.
• Collaborates well across design, engineering, product and data science.

Responsibilities

• Shape system architecture of chat experiences across squads in the Financial Assistant pillar.
• Define persona strategy across agents and align with broader UX work.
• Design conversation frameworks and GUI-integrated flows with UX designers.
• Prompt engineer LLMs to reflect design intent and improve content.
• Analyze existing systems to maximise conversational impact.
• Present work to teams and leadership for review and feedback.
• Collaborate with UX research and data analysis to optimise features.
• Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in design decisions.
